Candidates: name, contact details, resume, employment history, qualifications, professional profiles (e.g. LinkedIn), salary expectations, availability, work preferences, interview notes, and referee details (with your consent).

Clients: name, job title, contact details, company details, role requirements, and communication history with VALE.

Website visitors: we do not use cookies, analytics, or tracking scripts on our website. We do not collect personal information from visitors unless you contact us directly.

We collect information through direct communication with you, materials you submit to us, publicly available sources (such as LinkedIn), referrals from third parties, and job platforms where you have made your profile visible to recruiters. We only collect information that is reasonably necessary for our recruitment and business activities.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide recruitment services, communicate with you about relevant opportunities, manage client relationships, maintain records, and comply with legal obligations. We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.

Disclosure

We may share candidate information with clients to assess suitability for a role. Where practical, we will discuss the specific opportunity with you before sharing your details. We may contact referees you have nominated, with your consent. We may disclose information to legal or regulatory bodies where required by law.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

Third-Party Tools

VALE uses Google Workspace (Google LLC, USA) for email, calendar, and document storage, and LinkedIn (LinkedIn Corporation, USA) for candidate sourcing and communication. Your information may be processed in jurisdictions outside Australia by these providers.

Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, and disclosure.

Your Rights and Complaints

Under the APPs, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information held by us. You may also withdraw consent for a specific use of your information, or make a complaint if you believe we have breached the APPs.
